Do you want to learn more about global nursing?
Do you want to help early-career nurses become successful?
If so, YOU can be an AGENT of CHANGE!
Nursing Now is an international nursing Initiative working on helping each of us to be an Agent of Change. In addition, the organization strives to improve health by raising the profile and status of nursing worldwide.
Involvement in Nursing Now will help you learn about global nursing, assist and guide early career nurses, advocate for nurses, and be an Agent of Change.
IHCNO is proud to be an organizational member of Nursing Now. Each of you can also become an individual member of Nursing Now Challenge…at no charge. Go to www.nursingnow.org to join.
The rewards are many…for you and your organization to make a difference!
Many of their activities are virtual. A few examples include:
- Global Book Club. A recent review and discussion was on the book, “Health is Made at Home, Hospitals are for Repairs.” Author: Nigel Crisp, Member of the House of Lords, UK where he co-chairs the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health. The author and Barbara Stilwell, PhD, RN, FRCN, Executive Director of Nursing Now participated in the book club discussion.
- A review of the State of the World's Nursing Report 2025. A representative from each geographic region discussed the Report’s impact and meaning from their perspective. Nursing Now regions are the Americas, Africa, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, South East Asia, and Western Pacific.
Nursing Now is funded by The Burdett Trust for Nursing. It is UK-based. Its mission is to support the nursing contribution to healthcare.
